Mj Aka Mary Jane is about four and a half years old and has lived with a family since she was nine months old, including two young children. She’s a sweet and playful medium-sized mixed breed, likely with cattle dog and lab in her. She loves to snuggle, enjoys car rides, and is happiest when walking, hiking, or chasing a ball—she’ll even join in for long runs if you’re up for it. She’s house trained, sleeps in her crate, and can be left alone for several hours without issue or separation anxiety. Basic obedience training has set her up with good manners. Mary Jane gets nervous around loud noises like fireworks and thunder, and takes her time to warm up to new people or dogs. At home, she can be territorial—she tends to bark or jump at houseguests and passing strangers, but once she’s familiar, she usually settles down. She’s done well with supervised introductions to other dogs and could enjoy having a dog companion at home. She’s always been gentle with the kids in her current family, but a home without young children would be less stressful for her unless you’re ready to devote extra time to the transition.
