About Mars

Mars is like a burst of energy and warmth, much like the stars. At around 3 years old, Mars is a 60-pound Blue Heeler and German Shepherd mix, showcasing the vibrant temperaments of both breeds. She is fixed, vaccinated, and house trained. With a lively spirit, Mars is both protective and incredibly loyal to her humans. This playful pup thrives on structure, requiring a routine filled with mental and physical activities. Mars is sensitive to the emotions of those around her, often mirroring the energy she receives. Her sense of humor is best experienced in person. Adventurous and intelligent, she masters new commands quickly with consistent training. Whether it’s frolicking in open fields or splashing in the river, Mars is always eager for exploration. While she can be a bit nervous around new experiences and people, once she feels safe, she transforms into a loving lap dog, eager to engage and play. Mars has lived alongside cats most of her life, usually trying to herd them and occasionally growling over food. She gets along with familiar dogs from her past but needs slow introductions to new furry friends and may prefer to be the only pet. Mars is also known to seek freedom, so she needs to stay leashed during outdoor adventures. She’s a cuddlebug who expresses her love by licking away tears and wagging happily at excitement. Mars enjoys dancing, playing soccer, and even skateboarding. Her ideal home would be one with a consistent routine and an active person who understands dog behavior, patience, and compassion. Mars would shine as a farm dog or hiking companion. In a nurturing environment, she will become the loyal friend who brings joy and warmth into your life. Think you might be the right match?
