About Henrieta
Henrieta has spent more than 400 days waiting for someone to notice her gentle spirit. Once an outdoor cat fighting to survive, she was rescued just before giving birth. While she raised her kittens with care, she never truly experienced what it means to be a loved house cat. Now, nearly three years old and living in a foster home, Henrieta has started to trust people, discovering she actually enjoys belly rubs and head scratches. Henrieta is sweet but incredibly shy. She startles easily and is a master at hiding in new spaces, so she needs an experienced adopter familiar with timid cats—a home where she’ll have plenty of patience and understanding as she learns to feel safe. When she trusts you, she’ll happily purr in your arms or nestle in close for affection, but don’t expect instant confidence. She gets along well with other cats, especially those who are calm and gentle, giving her the space she needs. She would be comfortable as an only cat or with a mellow feline companion. Despite her quiet nature, Henrieta has a silly, playful side—she’s obsessed with CatTV and will bat at the screen in delight. Henrieta isn’t the cat who comes running when you walk through the door, but she is the kind that rewards patience with a deep, lasting bond. She’s proof that love built on trust is the strongest of all. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
