About Nebula
Nebula has spent most of her life with Scruffy Paws, clocking in over three years at the shelter. She arrived as a skittish young cat with her siblings; now she’s the dignified matriarch of the group. While her siblings found homes, Nebula stayed overlooked, partly due to her reserved nature. She values her independence and generally prefers to survey the action from a safe spot rather than join the chaos. Nebula does well with other cats that give her space—she’ll occasionally bat an overly rambunctious playmate to keep order but can be seen quietly playing or chasing after her favorite feather toys when the mood strikes. She advocates strongly for mealtimes, greeting staff with assertive meows. Petting is welcome once Nebula trusts you, but she’s not keen on being picked up or handled much. She can be skittish at first and will need time to warm up in a new environment. Older, respectful kids are a better fit for her calm demeanor. It’s unclear how she’d feel about dogs, but any canine housemate would need to be mellow and respectful of her space.
