Charlie is a 7-year-old neutered male Catahoula/Border Collie mix who came from a local hoarding situation. He’s carried some emotional scars with him, but that hasn’t dimmed his friendly, affectionate side. Charlie’s active and loves adventures in the woods, both on and off leash. He’s wonderful with people, gentle around children, and reliably house trained. With other dogs, Charlie prefers calm, playful canine friends, as he gets anxious around pushy dogs and tends to get picked on in group settings. He’s not a city guy—Charlie is happiest in a rural home with access to a fenced yard, ideally with a dog door so he can come and go. Thunderstorms make him anxious and he’ll need a patient, confident owner willing to help set boundaries and reassure him when he feels overwhelmed.
