About Charlie

Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Charlie is a 6-year-old neutered male mix of Catahoula Leopard Dog and Border Collie who was saved from a difficult hoarding situation and is searching for the loving home he truly deserves. Though he carries some emotional scars, Charlie is a friendly, active, and affectionate companion who especially loves people and is gentle with children. His house manners are impeccable, and he enjoys outdoor adventures both on and off leash. Charlie gets along well with other dogs but may become anxious if he’s around overly dominant companions, so he’ll thrive with one or more calm, playful canine friends. He is most comfortable in a rural setting with a fenced yard—ideally with access through a dog door—to give him the freedom and security he craves. Loud noises and thunderstorms can make Charlie anxious and clingy, so he would do best with a patient and confident adopter who can provide the structure and reassurance he needs. Despite his past, Charlie’s sweet nature shines through and he is ready for his second chance at happiness. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
