About Xena
Xena needs to be the only dog in her home unless her adopter is committed to proper training. For nearly two months, she survived alone in the country with a harness embedded under her arm, which left a wound. When first rescued, Xena was withdrawn, shyly averting her gaze and unsure how to trust people. Her world began changing the moment a kind person began feeding her, and since then, she’s opened up to show a loving, affectionate side—full of kisses for those she trusts. Xena feels safe in her dog house and relies on her secure spot for comfort as she continues to recover emotionally and physically. Tests with other dogs are ongoing, but right now, she does not do well with cats or other dogs.
