Bruno
AvailableBruno is a young, small Chihuahua mix with a striking short coat in brown and red merle. He is a neutered male with vaccinations up to date. Bruno is currently in Anna, IL and is looking for a single-pet home where his affectionate, playful energy can shine.
About Bruno
Bruno landed at PAWS after his last shelter ran out of space, and since then he's brought a lot of energy and laughter to Anna, IL. Under that short brown and chocolate-red merle coat, he's full of personality: happy, funny, playful, and more than a little mischievous. Born around June 15, 2023, he's still got his youthful spark. Bruno is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, and heartworm negative—and he’s ready to move straight into a new home. At just around 14 lbs, Bruno fits the small dog category, but his presence is huge. That said, he’s not a dog for multi-pet households: he doesn’t mix well with other dogs or cats, so he needs to be your one and only. He can get a little nervously excited when greeting favorite humans, but that comes from being so glad to see you. If you’re looking for a unique companion with a sense of humor and some youthful quirks, Bruno could be the perfect fit. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Bruno is a small Chihuahua mix, so he doesn't need a huge yard, but he does benefit from daily walks and some playtime outside. Regular outings and access to a safe outdoor area are ideal.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas like Bruno can do well with older, respectful children who understand boundaries. Due to his preference to be the only pet, a calmer family setting tends to work best.
