About Max
Max is a young Greyhound mix, just over a year old, with a black, white, and brown coat and a classic Greyhound build. His early life wasn’t easy—neglect left him underweight and wary—but he’s gaining confidence thanks to the steady company of his foster family and their two other Greyhounds in Cincinnati, OH. While Max is still learning where to do his business, he’s already making good progress on leash walks and settles nicely in his crate with a stash of tough rubber toys. He rarely barks, but when he does, it’s got some power behind it. As a typical Greyhound, Max is very fast, quiet, and gentle, but he’s also athletic and smart. Max’s favorite things are squeaky toys, hard bones, and cozying up for cuddles at night. He gets along well with other dogs in his foster home. Due to his ability to climb and sprint, he’ll need an adopter with either Greyhound or rescue experience, plus a fenced yard to keep him safe. While Max is house trained and neutered, he needs support adapting to new spaces during his early days. Greyhounds are known for their affectionate, even-tempered personalities, and Max fits the mold—just with a shy streak that’s already softening. If you want an athletic companion with worlds of potential, Max is waiting for someone to believe in him. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
