Scrumptious Cookie – Sweet as Her Name! Take one look at Cookie and you’ll discover an irresistible treat! This 2-year-old pittie girl is as lovely as she is lovable. Cookie came to STAF after her former owner, faced with sudden changes in schedule and finances, made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her so she could have the stability and care she deserves. Understandably a bit shy at first, Cookie is slowly beginning to blossom. Her confidence is growing each day thanks to the kindness and attention of our dedicated volunteers. She adores spending time with people and has a gentle, affectionate nature that makes her a joy to be around. Cookie does well with her canine shelter friends and we’re excited to give her the chance to build new bonds through doggie daycare. Her previous owner shared that she lived peacefully with another dog and a cat. Cookie has a lot of playful energy, so would do best in a home with older children. She would love another doggie playmate! Cookie has been working on her manners with a trainer, and is eager to learn! She is looking for a home that can help her continue to work on this. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting. • You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF. • Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences. • We do request vet and personal references. • We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter
