Mira
AvailableMira is a small adult Chihuahua in Holly Springs, NC. She has been spayed and her vaccinations are current. Mira is house trained, gets along well with dogs, cats, and children, and is looking for a home that can address her special needs and continue building her trust.
About Mira
Mira started life in a tough spot, rescued from a neglectful situation with over 145 other dogs. Despite all that, she's resilient and has managed to keep her spark. Mira's still learning to fully trust people and can be shy at first, but as she settles in, her affectionate and curious side shows itself. She has moments of wanting snuggles and kisses, but most days she likes things on her terms, keeping herself busy and exploring everything around her. Mira needs a watchful eye—she’s clever and a bit cat-like, ready to scale counters or perch on cat towers if given the chance. She does well with cats unless there’s food involved; she has been known to try and claim scraps for herself. Mira handles other dogs just fine, and her ideal home will include another canine companion to help her feel at ease and continue adapting to regular home life. She's been doing well with house training but could still have a few accidents while she adjusts. Young children have helped Mira settle in before and she’s learning to trust them, though sometimes she needs time to remember familiar faces. Left on her own, she’ll go investigating, so she should never be unattended. Mira needs someone who will be patient with her journey and keep up with her busy mind.
