Hezly, sometimes known as Hezzo or Leelee, is a small Havanese who came from a tough hoarding background. He’s about two years old and has been learning how to trust at his foster home after spending early life in a crowded, unsocialized environment. In public, Hezly tends to be timid; outside the house, he’ll freeze or flatten himself out if overwhelmed, but he’s never aggressive. At home, his personality pops—he gets bursts of playful energy, loves food, chews, and sprints around the yard with other dogs. He melts into people’s arms when picked up and is deeply affectionate once comfortable. Hezly gets along well with other dogs and did fine meeting a neighborhood cat. He is making steady house-training progress but will need routine and patience. Crate-trained, he’ll protest when left alone and really seeks the comfort of his people, so a household where someone is often home works best.
