Shorty is a sturdy, medium-sized mix of American Bulldog and Pit Bull Terrier, about 7 years old and weighing in around 55 pounds. He has special needs, as he is heartworm positive, and will need an adopter ready to manage his care. Shorty generally gets along well with most dogs—especially his companion Red, who came to the shelter with him. Any potential new housemates should be introduced ahead of adoption to make sure everyone is comfortable. While Shorty isn’t house trained yet, he’s social, affectionate, and fine with children.
