Hermie is a young, neutered male Great Dane with a striking black coat and short hair. He's extra-large in size and is up to date on all vaccinations. Hermie is currently located in Pine Beach, NJ, and is ready for a home where his size and smarts will be appreciated.

About Hermie

Hermie is an 8-month-old black Great Dane mix with plenty of personality. He weighs in at about 100 lbs and has a unique way of moving—sometimes he does little bunny hops when he's excited, other times he prances along on walks like a pony. Hermie is neutered and current on vaccinations. He already knows the basic commands (sit, stay, and paw), and he'll sit patiently at feeding time. There's been no sign of aggression with Hermie, but he will need some help polishing up his manners, so someone with experience handling large dogs is preferred. He's very smart and eager to learn, ready to absorb whatever his handler can teach. Hermie gets along with people and clearly loves to be part of what's going on. He's currently at the Dutchess County SPCA in Pine Beach, NJ waiting for a foster or forever family who can handle a big, enthusiastic companion like him. Ready to meet your new best friend?
