Tulip
AvailableTulip is a young, medium-sized American Bulldog/Boxer mix currently in Chandler, AZ. She is spayed, vaccinated, and house trained. True to her gentle nature, she does well with both dogs and cats, although she sometimes has the urge to chase cats. Tulip is shy, especially around men, but is very sweet once comfortable.
About Tulip
Tulip is shy at first, especially compared to her sister Poppy, but underneath that caution there’s a seriously sweet and gentle disposition. She needs a little time to gain trust with people, especially men, but given patience and a steady, kind presence, Tulip gradually comes out of her shell and bonds beautifully. She does best with calm, encouraging attention, and her timidness fades with consistent one-on-one engagement. Tulip’s currently on medication for valley fever, and she’s handling her treatment well. She’s been around cats and does well, though the urge to chase is something an attentive adopter can help her manage through training. Tulip gets along with other dogs but prefers a quiet intro—she’ll bark from her crate if startled by a stranger, but she’s never aggressive. What Tulip truly needs is someone willing to offer her the slow approach she deserves. She’d thrive in a home ready to help her build confidence and perhaps welcome her sister Poppy as well.
