Milady
AvailableMilady is a young, spayed female Labrador Retriever mix in Washington, DC. She is medium-sized and up to date on her vaccinations. While she has only three legs, she gets around beautifully. Milady gets along with other dogs and would benefit from a welcoming resident dog in her new home. She is looking for a patient adopter who can give her the support and security she needs as she adjusts to a new environment.
About Milady
Milady is a sleek, medium-sized Lab mix with three legs, currently in Puerto Rico and looking for her fresh start in the DC area. She’s about a year old and still growing, carrying herself with plenty of energy and heart. Despite being a tripod (missing her right rear leg), Milady gets around confidently and isn’t slowed down by her difference. She’s described as shy, so she’ll need a patient adopter, ideally in a home with a welcoming resident dog who can help her feel more at ease as she learns to explore the world at her own pace. She gets along well with other dogs, but hasn’t been tested with cats or children yet. Milady needs someone who will be patient with her adjustment—dogs coming from Puerto Rico often require time to acclimate. Socialization and encouragement will be essential, and her new human should be ready to show her consistent love and reassurance as she grows into her best self. In return, Milady promises loyalty and endless affection. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Milady
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Labrador Retriever mixes like Milady do well in homes where they have space to move and a family invested in training and engagement. They thrive in both suburban and urban settings as long as their needs for exercise and companionship are met.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Milady, as a Lab mix, will enjoy a yard to play in but can also do well with regular walks and dog park visits if no yard is available. Daily outdoor activity is important for her physical and mental wellbeing.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Labrador Retriever mixes are generally known for their gentle, friendly demeanor and often make good companions for children. However, each dog has its own personality, and since Milady is a bit shy, she may need slow introductions to young kids.
