About Moose

Moose is a striking Bullmastiff with a fawn-colored, short, smooth coat and a classic, dignified Mastiff look. He sports a docked tail, dark brown eyes, a black velvet nose, a black mask, and those signature floppy ears. At the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley in Marietta, OH, Moose and his long-time housemate, Hazard, a Shepherd mix, have shared a spacious suite since coming into care. Both dogs arrived after being surrendered by their owner and are now seeking a new home—ideally together, as they’re a bonded pair. Despite his size and senior status, Moose is gentle and affectionate. He forms bonds with his people, offering “bear hugs” and seeking extra affection. During visits, he’s calm yet clearly enjoys interacting and being included. Moose is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He and Hazard have access to indoor comfort and a private outdoor space, and the shelter team is committed to keeping them together. If you're looking for a devoted, mature companion ready to give and receive love, Moose could be the perfect fit. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
