About Jaxson
Click apply to start the adoption process. Four-year-old Jaxson was once a free spirit roaming as he pleased, until he was picked up for not having a license. When no one claimed him, he settled into the shelter, waiting patiently for a forever family. Jaxson is an affectionate, compact (40-pound), muscular dog who rewards every visitor with a happy tail wag and quick wriggle of pure joy. He makes a tidy roommate, keeping his living space neat, and soaks up every bit of attention. He thrives on learning and has shown he can sit on command and wait politely by doors. He behaves well on leash walks, and during a recent outing to a lake, he was a perfect passenger in the car, unfazed by loud pond geese, and absolutely thrilled to greet new people. He may be a Labrador/Pit Bull mix, with the cheerful yellow coat of a Labrador and the striking features hinting at Black-mouth Cur heritage. Though he’s curious about cats, his enthusiasm can be overwhelming for them. Jaxson’s optimistic outlook is infectious, and he’s ready to become someone’s loyal companion. Ready to fall in love?
