About Connie
Connie came to the rescue with her sibling, Sue, after their owner became seriously ill and couldn't care for them. When they arrived, both were underweight, scared, and covered in fleas and ticks, but they quickly warmed up once given proper care, food, and a calm environment. Connie needed some time to adjust and is a bit more reserved than Sue, but sweet and affectionate in her own gentle way. She's begun learning her basic commands and is slowly picking up leash walking, showing curiosity and eagerness to please. Connie and her sister are experiencing real puppyhood for the first time: learning to play, trusting people, and discovering toys. She currently weighs about 35 lbs and will likely grow a bit larger as she matures. Connie gets along well with other dogs and children, which opens up her options for many types of homes. Her new name honors a longtime volunteer, and it suits her well. If you’re seeking a young and loving pup ready to blossom, Connie is worth meeting. Start your journey together! Apply now.
