This sweet girl is a little fearful when it comes to new people, but the shelter staff have discovered that love and attention are the way to her heart. She absolutely loooves snuggles, she just needs a little time to get there, which we think is reasonable! She would prefer a home with older kids (12+) or adults only who are willing to go slowly and earn her love. It won't take long though - once she's comfortable, she'll be greeting you with a wiggly body and wagging tail and will be happy sticking by your side. She's truly a happy girl, and also very smart - she'll sit on command and is a great listener. Zola has a sassy greeting style with other dogs so she would appreciate slow intros. Zola, a Volunteer Favorite, recently got out of the shelter with a volunteer who had this to share: Zola was the very best adventure buddy - she stayed close, mostly kept to the trail/sidewalk and only left for the occasional sniff. She would every now and then stop and look back to check on me :) The first hour was all about the walk, but the second hour all she really wanted to do was stop and snuggle! This little cutie would frequently pause to request back scratches, so her future family should also be ready to shower her with affection!! She is a little bundle of love!
