He is not yet house trained and will need some support in this area, but he is already neutered and his vaccinations are up to date. With a healthy disposition, Squiggy is looking for a caring home to help continue his journey toward a healthier weight and a happier city life.

Squiggy truly wants to be by your side at all times and quickly builds bonds with the people around him. He has started settling in with his foster parents and is steadily opening up to the other foster dog in the home—sharing couch space and even starting to play together. While he has occasionally shown a bit of jealousy, his comfort with other dogs is growing, and he now enjoys snoozing beside his canine buddy. Having lived as a hunting dog, Squiggy is still learning the ways of city life. He is somewhat shy and wary around loud noises like traffic and construction, making leash walking a bit of a careful adventure, but he’s doing his best each day. Though he isn’t yet fully housebroken, he is improving and has only had one accident so far—he can go hours or even overnight without a bathroom break, and he’ll eventually venture outside when he feels safe. Secure leashing is important for his confidence and safety. Squiggy’s time at the shelter led to a bit of extra weight, so he’ll need help from his adopter to continue his weight-loss journey. Fortunately, he’s healthy overall and up to date on vaccinations.
