Heidi
AvailableHeidi is a tricolor Beagle with a short coat, living in Williamsburg, VA. She is an adult female, about 9 years and 2 months old, and is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. Heidi is not yet house trained but has shown good progress wearing a diaper. Her gentle temperament and medium size make her a sweet companion, especially for a quiet home looking for a low-key dog.
About Heidi
Heidi spent her life as a discarded hunting dog before landing a soft spot to land with her friend Chaplin. These two have known neglect, but theyāve now settled into comfort, routine, and gentle care. Theyāre a bonded pair, so a home that will keep them together through retirement is important. Heidi thrives with plenty of naps, quiet time inside, and freedom to sniff around a safely fenced yard. While used to living outdoors, sheās made progress with house trainingāsheāll wear a diaper but needs only about one per day. She doesnāt jump on furniture, stays calm when left alone, and doesnāt need to be crated (though sheāll go in if asked). Sheās not especially surefooted on stairs, so her home will need either minimal steps or simple gates for safety. A low deck or a couple of steps donāt pose issues. Heidiās got honey-colored eyes and an easygoing temperament that makes life smoother for everyone around her. Her DNA age test clocks her at just over 9, fit and ready to spend her golden years with plenty of care. She and Chaplin are roughly 30 lbs each, spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and vaccinated. Heidi is in Williamsburg, VA and waiting with Chaplin for their retirement home.
