About Heidi
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Life for Heidi and Chaplin, two discarded hunting dogs, has been far from easy—but things are finally looking brighter for them! After enduring a lifetime of neglect, these gentle souls have received the tender love and care they always deserved, and are now seeking a forever home where they can spend their golden years together. Heidi and Chaplin are a bonded pair who need to be adopted into a loving retirement home as a duo. Their days are now filled with relaxation, affection, and well-deserved pampering. Both dogs are easygoing, enjoying outdoor time in a fenced yard for leisurely sniffing expeditions, and plenty of indoor naps. Most of their lives were spent outdoors, so they are still polishing their house training skills—progress is steady, and both are now comfortable wearing diapers as needed. They don’t jump on furniture and behave wonderfully when left alone, with no need for crating (but they will use a crate if necessary). Because stairs are a challenge for them, especially Chaplin, a home with minimal stairs and simple solutions like baby gates is ideal. With sweet honey-colored eyes and loving demeanors, they’ll melt your heart instantly. Heidi is eight months younger than Chaplin, and both tip the scales at around 30 lbs. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on all vaccinations. Located in Newport News, Virginia, they are waiting to meet a family that will cherish them as they deserve. Fun fact: Heidi’s birthday makes her an Aries, which means she’s likely to be both courageous and affectionate. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
