About Chaplin
Chaplin, along with his lifelong friend Heidi, came from a tough background as discarded hunting dogs. After years of neglect, theyāve found comfort and care in their foster home. These two are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together to enjoy their retirement side by side. These days, Chaplin loves a relaxed routineāleisurely walks in a fenced yard, plenty of naps indoors, and simply soaking up affection. Though his whole life was spent outdoors, heās making tremendous progress with house training and now only uses a diaper if left alone, with accidents being rare. Chaplin never jumps on the furniture and handles alone time with no fuss. Heās fine in a crate but doesnāt require one. Stairs are a challenge for him due to slight unsteadiness and a permanent head tilt, likely from years of untreated ear infections. To keep him safe, a simple baby gate will block off stairs. He has "cauliflower ear" from past infections, so his ears need gentle, weekly cleanings to prevent future issues. He weighs around 30 lbs, is neutered, heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations. Despite his wobbly gait, Chaplin is a mellow guy with a sweet disposition and honey-colored eyes. He is ready for a calm home where he and Heidi can finally be pampered the way they deserve. They are both friendly with other dogs and good with children. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
