About Rose

Rose spent most of her life outdoors, weathering cold winters and enduring frostbite to her ears, but those days are behind her now. At 14, this small Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix has made it through her share of adversity and kept her gentle, loving spirit intact. She settled right into her foster home, bonding with people and even finding a favorite feline playmate. Despite being a little overweight from years of inactivity, she enjoys easy walks around the neighborhood, short adventures out, and curling up in comfortable spots—no more harsh winters for her. Rose gets along with other dogs and cats and shows patience with gentle children over eight. She’s crate trained, house trained, and walks well on a leash. Grooming is simple given her short coat. An experienced or patient adopter is preferred, ideally in a home with a fenced yard and no intentions of leaving her outside again. Rose’s adoption is limited to homes within two hours of Raleigh, NC. All standard vaccinations, monthly preventatives, and a microchip are up to date. Meetings are by approved application only.
