About Twila
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet gentle giant Twila! This sweet Great Dane is bashful and shy at first, especially in new situations, but truly blossoms when she has other animals around to help her feel safe. Twila formed a close bond with her foster family's dachshund-beagle mix, Nugget, and the rescue would love for them to be adopted together. Once comfortable, Twila wants nothing more than to follow you around, and she adores hearing praise while accepting treats gently. She is wonderful with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes, simply enjoying relaxing by their side as part of the pack. Twila is also good with children, though she can be easily startled by loud noises, so a quieter home without rambunctious kids is best. Fully house trained and accustomed to routine, she is low-maintenance and only wants to be close to her family. With her classic Great Dane temperament, she's a gentle giant and a cuddle bug at heart. She walks perfectly on leash, craves affection, and is eager to become a cherished member of your home. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
