About Maverick

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Maverick is a striking, athletic Siberian Husky mix born on February 18, 2023—a true Aquarius, which means he’s independent, clever, and always up for an adventure! With his sharp mind and boundless energy, Maverick thrives in a structured environment where his body and brain get plenty of activity. He’s crate trained and a terrific travel companion, making car rides a joy and eagerly seeking new experiences. Maverick is at his happiest when he knows the rules; he’s eager to please and affectionate once he’s burned off some steam. His favorite activities include treats, games of catch, chewing on sticks, going for walks, and occasionally offering his own touches to the yard’s decor. With his athletic build and natural drive, he’s a great candidate for running, agility, skijoring, or other canine sports. Maverick prefers being the only dog in the home. His alpha personality means he shines best without other dogs around, and his interactions with cats and young children haven’t been tested. Because of his size, exuberance, and sometimes mouthy behavior when overstimulated, he would do best with older, dog-savvy kids who can respect his boundaries. Maverick’s solid crate training and successful use of a tie-out ensure he’s safe and happy while settling in. While he can be demanding for attention (paw taps are his specialty!) and has been a bit food defensive or mouthy at times, his behavior has shown consistent improvement with regular guidance and positive training. This clever boy needs an experienced husky or working-breed owner who will provide firm, clear boundaries and leadership. Maverick thrives under strong, consistent direction and reciprocates with loyalty and love. He is ideally placed as a solo dog where he receives daily stimulation, plenty of exercise, and ongoing training from committed adopters. If you’re active and seeking a devoted, energetic adventure buddy with brains and charm, Maverick may be your perfect match. He’s ready to join a home where he’ll be set up for success and cherished as a loyal companion. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
