About Rascal
Rascal is an 8-year-old American Eskimo and Siberian Husky mix who definitely lives up to his name. He’s got a big personality, a good measure of mischief, and a lot of heart. Rascal started out in a puppy mill, so he missed out on early socialization and can still be unsure around new people. Sometimes he’ll greet you with a mix of interest and uncertainty—maybe even running up wanting attention while growling under his breath. But when Rascal decides you’re trustworthy, he’ll show his softer side with happy wiggles and a belly ready for rubs. Food and toys are serious business for this dog, and mealtimes are one of his favorite parts of the day. He loves hard chew toys and can’t resist the temptation of paper, though he’s learning to redirect that energy into more appropriate activities. Rascal’s playful outside and enjoys mixing it up with his dog friends. Corrections from people and other dogs work well if he gets too rowdy. He’s also comfortable around cats, which is a plus for multi-pet households. Rascal isn’t a fit for homes with children, as he can be unpredictable around new people and needs a calm, patient adult environment. He’s still learning the basics of house manners and will need someone willing to keep working with him. Rascal is a loyal, loving companion for the right adopter—someone who’s patient and ready for a real relationship with a quirky, resilient dog. Born on November 2nd, he’s a Scorpio, so you can expect him to be determined, bold, and fiercely loyal. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
