Poppy and Charlie Brown are a closely bonded pair of young Chihuahuas looking for a home together in Marion, IN. Poppy has a soft, long black and cream coat and is as affectionate as she is lively. She’s happiest cuddled up right next to you at the end of the day but is always eager to run and play with her canine friends, especially Charlie Brown, who dotes on her and keeps a close eye on her. Their foster prefers not to separate them and is committed to finding them a family willing to take them as a duo. Poppy is around seven months old and about five pounds, but don’t let her size fool you—she has a big voice and loves to let you know when she’s excited or wants attention. She’s working on housebreaking, knows how to listen, and needs a home with a secure fence or someone dedicated to leash walks (no tie-outs). Apartment living isn’t ideal, given her enthusiasm for sharing her thoughts with the world. Poppy is spayed, current on all vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea/heartworm prevention. She will thrive with someone patient and engaged, able to reinforce her manners and socialization as she grows, and who understands the joy—and responsibility—of adopting a very attached duo.
