About Muffin
Muffin showed up in early July, right in the heat of the summer and in the thick of some turmoil. She came in defensive, nursing wounds—both physical and emotional—and refused to share space or offer trust to anyone, human or animal. Despite biting and scraps with other pets early on, over time, Muffin started to thaw. Her progress wasn’t easy or quick, but her resilience paid off. Her wounds closed, her spirit recalibrated, and with the pack’s guidance, she learned how to play, interact, and even initiate a little group fun—always managing the situation as the self-appointed coach or referee. Muffin is a small, spicy Papillon/Chihuahua mix, probably about 13 pounds. She prefers a home with adults—no children—and connects with both men and women as long as you give her clear boundaries and confident, structured support. She does best with other pets who don’t take her stubborn streak personally and can respect her need for space. Muffin is house and crate trained, food-motivated, and enjoys car rides and brisk walks. She rarely barks unless she needs something and isn’t the cuddly type, but will sit by your side peacefully. Someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule would be ideal. She's got a quirky personality, loves dirt, and thrives on routine. She’s had a winding journey, but she’s ready for the right person to keep her moving forward. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Muffin’s mix is quite adaptable and does well with regular walks and playtime instead of needing a large yard. A small fenced space or access to safe walks is more than enough for her energy level.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
