At six years old, she’s solidly housebroken and crate trained, enjoying a little treat whenever it’s time to kennel up—just make sure she’s safely crated when you head out, since her curiosity can lead her into a bit of trouble. Bellini handles car rides well, treating every trip as a chance to charm new faces, and she thrives on outings, especially when a “pup cup” is involved. On leash, she’s generally good, though she’s strong and still has a chase instinct for small critters. She has a medium energy level—laid back around the house, happy just to chew a Benebone or socialize with other dogs. With slow, thoughtful introductions, Bellini gets along well with dogs of all sizes, but doesn’t require a canine companion in her new home. She’s not suited for homes with cats and would do best with children aged eight and up, as she’s a big girl who could accidentally knock over smaller kids. Bellini’s roots are humble—she came to rescue with her nearly grown puppies, and while her pups have all been adopted, she’s still waiting for her own family.
