Meet Neal, a 2-year-old, 35-pound cutie with a labby look, a stunning partial blue eye, and the sweetest soul. He’s been very shy in the shelter, but with patience, gentle words, and a few treats, he’s slowly opening up and showing just how loving he can be. Neal is extremely treat motivated—his nose is always going, and he puts that great sniffing power to use during enrichment time, which he really enjoys. He can be timid with new people, but once he trusts you, he becomes affectionate, soft, and eager for pets. Still very skinny, this little guy has plenty of room to grow—both in confidence and in comfort. He has done well meeting others dogs and would likely do well with confident companions to show him more ways to "dog." With love, time, and continued positive experiences, Neal will blossom into a loyal, tender companion who just needed someone to see his potential.
