About Dorothy Rags Hospicesanctuary
Please meet the often imitated but never duplicated Dorothy Rags! Dorothy is 12 years young and weights around 8 lbs. She loves kids, dogs, cats, and any creature great or small. As Dorothy has only 1 tooth, she requires soft food, but she really knows how to enjoy it! She is not a fast mover and shaker, and she tries her best to make it to the wee-wee pad, but this a work in progress. A recent x-ray showed a little spot on her back leg which could be problematic, but given her age, she would not be a candidate for treatment. This old gal deserves someone who will love her as she is and let Dorothy Rags be her best self in the days she has left! Interested in becoming a forever home for this lovely lady? Fill out our online adoption application: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. If there are multiple dogs that you are interested in, please fill out an application for each dog. This does not include bonded pairs — for them, one application will be fine. Because we have different adoption coordinators working with different dogs, your application may be missed if you only apply once. Find more adoptable pets, news, and information on Instagram @friendswithfourpaws or our Facebook page Friends with Four Paws. We put a lot of time and energy into processing our adoptions finding our fur babies the most loving homes. Please do not apply if you are not serious about adopting. We are so excited to work with you to find you a new forever friend, and Dorothy Rags the perfect forever home, and appreciate you working with us. Our adoption fee is $525. This includes their spay/neuter surgery, full (age-appropriate) vaccinations, microchip insertion and registration, deworming, heartworm testing and prevention, flea and tick prevention, and travel expenses. All our dogs are rescued from local shelters and the general public. Each dog is then placed in a foster home where he/she is kept for quarantine, to ensure if the dog gets sick it can receive proper treatment. We have foster homes in the NJ/NY area waiting to receive their fosters. Once an animal has received an application or there's an adopter interested, we make arrangements for their transport. If a dog is already in foster care in NYC/NJ, an adopter will be put in touch with the foster home AFTER an application is being processed.
