About Little Mac
Meet Little Mac! Little Mac may be low to the ground, but his love for his people is sky-high. This short-legged superstar is loyal to his people and will happily be your tiny shadow once he knows you’re part of his inner circle. New people and dogs make him a bit suspicious at first, so slow introductions are a must - think treats, sitting down, and letting Mac approach at his own pace. Once he decides you’re cool, you’re really cool. He’s not recommended for a home with kids under the age of 12. Mac has successfully made dog friends in his foster home, but he prefers a “let’s walk it out first” approach — going on walks together and meeting through a gate for a day or so before committing to friendship. He can be protective of his people and food with other dogs, but he listens well to corrections and continues to improve with consistency. Because of his strong opinions, he’s not a fan of cats or small animals. This pint-sized explorer loves going on walks, does okay in the car (child lock required — he’s got places to be), and is comfortable in a crate or large enclosure when his people are away. He can be vocal at first when his people leave, so apartment living may not be ideal. He’s been doing great free in the house, though he may need a belly band at first while he gets used to new smells and spaces — he’s been accident-free for months in his foster home. Reach out to meet him today!
