Jenny is a young, small mixed-breed dog with American Foxhound and Jack Russell Terrier lineage, featuring a short white, brown, and cream bicolor coat. Jenny has special mobility needs due to previous hip injuries and surgeries, requiring joint supplements and ongoing care.

About Jenny

Jenny is a young foxhound, whippet, pointer, and Jack Russell terrier mix with a remarkable story. She suffered a major car accident in her first year and underwent two hip surgeries—one being a femoral head osteotomy with extensive recovery, followed by another to remove painful scar tissue and extra bone growth. She walks well, though her back legs will always have some quirks—sometimes she moves sideways when tired, and long walks on concrete need careful management. Joint supplements and gentle care are part of her routine, and she might eventually need some type of wheelchair support if her back legs weaken with age. Despite her past, Jenny is happy-go-lucky and loves the chase—bunnies and squirrels, beware! She enjoys playing with other dogs, especially gentle ones, and has lived harmoniously with cats and children in her foster home. Jenny has never met a stranger she didn't like. She's crate trained and house trained but needs to head outside quickly when nature calls due to some urgency from her injury. Jenny walks nicely on a leash and loves exploring the neighborhood. After over a year in foster care, she's ready for her forever family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
