About Copper
Meet Copper, a striking Hound/Retriever mix with warm sable and tan coloring and an easy-to-care-for short coat. At about two years old, Copper already has a gentle and affectionate disposition. He’s quick to learn, especially when treats are involved, and he is eager to please. Copper is very friendly—not just with people, but with dogs and even cats. He’s hoping for a home with another playful pup to share his energy. Copper thrives with structure and will do best with a secure wood-fenced yard; he needs space to explore without temptation from farm animals, since his curiosity gets the best of him around livestock. Copper is both crate and house-trained and knows his way around the basics. While he walks politely on a leash with a harness, he can pull, so he’ll appreciate an adopter ready to work with him on continued leash manners. Copper is neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and protected from heartworm. He’s ready for a home where he can give and receive plenty of affection. Start your journey together!
