Jack Nicholson is an older Shih Tzu/Miniature Poodle mix with plenty of character and a history that isn’t always rosy. He comes from a neglect background and, while he carries some medical baggage—an enlarged heart, a murmur, collapsing trachea, and hypothyroidism—Jack shows more pep than you’d expect. He’ll need lifelong medication for his heart and thyroid, so his adopter has to be comfortable with ongoing medical care. Right now, he’s not yet neutered or cleared for dental work since his heart needs a bit more stability before any anesthesia is safe. Jack gets along with other animals and loves people. For his comfort, a home without small children where he can relax on his own terms would suit him best. He just wants a gentle place to settle in and live out his later years with someone who understands that caring for him means patience and a little extra attention. Jack is the kind of dog who rewards kindness with steady companionship. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
