She is currently seeking her forever family at Dachshund Rescue of North America Inc.
About Stella
Lets make it official, apply to adopt! Stella is a beautiful dark chocolate Dachshund Terrier mix who is about 2 years old and weighs 18 pounds. She may look black in photos, but in person her chocolate coat shines. Rescued from Texas, Stella has overcome a difficult start and is hoping to find a loving home in Maryland. She was born with microphthalmia in her right eye, which means she has limited vision on that side, but it never holds her back from enjoying life to the fullest. Stella's gentle and affectionate personality has made her a favorite in her foster home. She is house-broken, crate trained, eats well, and is impressively quiet—she has only barked once while playing! Stella is easy on car rides, gentle with treats, and content when left alone. She loves to walk and meet new people, although she is still getting comfortable with some dogs while on leash. While she enjoys lounging, Stella remains playful and would thrive in a home where someone can spend time being active with her each day. She will need a securely fenced yard to keep her safe and happy. Approved adopters can arrange a meet and greet with Stella in Odenton, Maryland to see if she is your perfect match. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
