About Dooley

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Introducing Dooley, a spirited one-year-old Labrador mix, whose playful nature and loyalty make him an incredible sidekick for the right home. Dooley brings energy and joy wherever he goes—he thrives when given the chance to play fetch in the yard, enjoys gnawing on his favorite toys, and absolutely loves belly rubs and spending quality time with his people. Dooley is both house-trained and crate-trained; his crate serves as a sanctuary when he needs to relax or ease his nerves. While he gets along beautifully with small and senior dogs, he hasn’t been tested with cats or children just yet. His social personality shines in canine company, but his play style can be a bit rough, so playmates who enjoy a good romp are ideal. Dooley knows several basic commands and is impressively smart, always happy to show off his skills retrieving toys or snuggling with his favorite humans at the end of a fun-filled day. He’s learning to be calmer on leash and keeps getting better at ignoring distractions. Dooley can be a little protective of his space at first and might bark when strangers arrive, but his affectionate personality wins out when he warms up. Loud noises such as thunder can make him anxious, and he may get carsick on longer trips, so he prefers shorter adventures for now. Still, he’s an avid fan of rain and water play! Dooley will be happiest with an experienced adopter who can provide him with consistency, structure, regular exercise, and a secure environment. He’d really enjoy the companionship of another playful dog and will thrive in a family that appreciates his smarts, loyalty, and heart. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
