Meet Peter! Peter is an 11-month-old Lab mix with a big heart, big energy, and an even bigger love for his people. This sweet, playful boy is still very much a puppy at heart and is looking for a home that’s ready to embrace his fun-loving, active spirit. He’s house trained and crate trained, which gives him a great foundation. Peter loves kids — especially the kind who want to run, play, and toss a ball around with him. He thrives on interaction and would do wonderfully with a family that enjoys being active and involved. Peter is dog-friendly with slow, proper introductions. When he feels insecure, he can be reactive toward other dogs, so he’ll need thoughtful guidance and a confident handler to help him continue building positive experiences. With structure and patience, he does well — he just needs someone willing to advocate for him and set him up for success. He’s high energy and currently working on his leash manners, so continued training will be important. The good news? He’s a sweet boy who wants to please and will benefit greatly from consistency and clear leadership.
