About Kahlua

What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Kahlua! This spirited little fellow just celebrated his first birthday in October 2024 and is looking for a loving, patient home after overcoming a tough start. Abandoned in a kennel with four other dogs at night, Kahlua has made remarkable strides in socializing with people although he still needs time and understanding. When first meeting new people, he may bark and avoid interaction, and if approached too quickly, he may nip—so an adult-only home is required for him to thrive. He’s shown to bond more readily with females and, once trust is built, will zoom over for attention, offer quick kisses, and then dash away with playful energy. Kahlua loves playing with other dogs and exploring the yard, and in his foster home, he was happiest with a female caretaker. His playful, puppy-like personality shines through once he feels at ease, especially when he’s joyfully flipping toys in the air or admiring himself in the mirror! Kahlua will need continued support with house- and leash-training and will flourish most with gentle guidance and patience. He is approximately one year old, weighs around 15 pounds, and his adoption fee includes his neuter, up-to-date vaccinations (including rabies), and microchip. If you can provide a nurturing environment where he can blossom, Kahlua may just be your new best friend. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
