About Uno
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Uno! Arriving at Chi Town Rescue from a challenging situation, Uno is now eagerly awaiting his forever home or a loving foster. He has found joy interacting with his kennel mate and other small dogs at the rescue, but prefers not to mingle with larger dogs. Uno absolutely delights in playing fetch, often running off with his prized tennis ball—he might even rival your tidiest friend in toy collecting! Once playtime winds down, he enjoys relaxing in his kennel, perfectly content to recharge for another day. Initially, Uno is wary of new people and may bark to keep his distance, but this brave little fellow is truly more frightened than fierce. With those he trusts, Uno blossoms—he loves gentle pets and will show off his cheerful side with prancing and little love nibbles. Holding isn’t his favorite, and he is not yet leash-trained, but his playful nature and loyalty shine in the right environment. He’ll do best with an experienced, patient adopter ready to help him build confidence and blossom through socialization. To ensure Uno’s comfort and safety, a home without small children and with a secure, fenced yard is a must. Uno also has a unique “micro” eye, which doesn’t hinder him or affect his health in any way. This small, young, neutered, and fully vetted boy is waiting for someone to help him shine in a new chapter. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Uno
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Miniature Pinscher and Chihuahua mixes are best suited for homes where they receive plenty of attention and care. They thrive in both apartments and houses, especially when they have a safe, secure space to play.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
These small breeds do well with regular walks and playtime but don't require a large yard. Access to a secure, fenced outdoor area is great but not strictly necessary for their happiness.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mixes can be sensitive and may do better in homes with older, respectful children rather than very young kids. Socialization and gentle handling are key.
