About Chico
Chico spends his days with a dedicated foster who’s helping him build confidence around new people. He’s a regular at the dog park, thrives on daily visits, and loves going for walks. Housebroken and crate-trained, Chico does great on a leash and adapts quickly with positive direction. He’s an affectionate dog who follows his people around, ready to climb onto a nearby chair for a good ear rub or head scratch. While he’ll bark at knocks or doorbells, he’s overall friendly and enjoys hikes, runs, and play sessions with other dogs or a good game of fetch. Chico starts out shy but quickly becomes loyal and playful once he warms up. He’s perfectly suited for someone who works from home or a retired person looking for a loving sidekick. He enjoys being petted, especially a nice belly rub, and truly wants to be close to his people. Chico plays well with other dogs, loves toys, and even knows how to use a doggie door in a safe yard. He travels well by car and behaves at the vet, though he does need a bit of time to adjust to new folks. He would be a great companion for households with older children. Chico’s just waiting for someone ready to give him lots of love, patience, and companionship. Your new best friend is just one click away.
