About Esmerelda
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Esmerelda is a beautiful Shepherd mix searching for an active family who enjoys both adventures and relaxing evenings at home. After being abandoned in a rural area, she found refuge with a kind man who provided her with food, water, and a comfortable bed. When she surprised her rescuer by giving birth to four puppies, he made sure each found a loving home. Once her puppies were placed, Esmerelda received all her veterinary care, including spaying and vaccinations. During this time, she tested heartworm positive, but thanks to thorough treatment, she is now heartworm free and ready for her forever family. This loyal and smart girl is about two years old and has a beautiful black and white medium-length coat. She loves people, children, and other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for a family. Esmerelda is house trained and would thrive with a family that can give her both playtime and quiet moments by the fire. As an Aquarius, she is independent yet loyal—a true original with a quirky, lovable personality. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
