Buddy is a male pit bull/Rottweiler mix who is around 6-7 years old. He was rescued in July, 2021 as a bait dog. His entire body was covered in bite wounds, infection, and maggots. Months later, he was also diagnosed with a rare parasite found in dog fighting rings. Full of spirit, he overcame every single challenge and is now a healthy and happy boy. Buddy loves water, going on walks, and playing fetch. He knows his 'sit', 'down', and 'leave it' commands and behaves well on a leash. In public, he is non-reactive but strangers must respect his space. Buddy would make an incredible companion to a special person that understands him and appreciates his energy. He would do best in a home with no other animals or young children.
