About Silas
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Silas! Silas is a 3-year-old, small mixed breed with a gentle, sensitive soul. He weighs about 15 pounds and is known for being quiet, shy, and reserved, as he’s still adapting to life in a home. Silas gains confidence from other dogs—he would thrive in a household with a calm, friendly canine companion who can help him feel secure and show him the ropes. He is building trust with people and is looking for a patient adopter who can give him space, time, and consistency as he opens up. Silas is house trained and reliably uses pee pads, with no accidents when they’re available. While he’ll also go outside, he isn’t leash trained yet. He finds comfort in his crate, often seeking it out for a safe, cozy spot to relax, and loves finding warm, soft beds where he can observe his world. Silas is best suited for a calm, low-pressure environment with someone who appreciates a quiet companion and understands that it may take a while for him to completely come out of his shell. Once he does, you’ll be rewarded with his heartfelt companionship. Silas is currently being fostered in Middletown, NJ. Fun fact: With a birthday of January 20, Silas is an Aquarius—a sign known for its gentle independence and unique spirit. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today. Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue is a foster-based group and does not have a shelter location for weekday visits. Please visit their Facebook page for adoption events and animal availability.
