About Tater
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Meet the Fab Four: Chicky (Chicken Nugget), Tater (as in Tot), Penni, and Stormie! These delightful and spirited pint-sized cats arrived at Big Sid's Sanctuary in February 2025, their zest for life undiminished by their Feline Leukemia positive status. Tater, a striking black and white tuxedo born around July 4th, 2024 (which makes him a Cancer—so he is destined to be nurturing and intuitive!), spent his early weeks closely bonded with his dear friends. You’ll see him romping and playing with endless energy, unbothered by the virus in his bloodstream. His medical care has been top notch, including vaccinations, treatment for parasites, and all checkups recommended for a happy and healthy life. Tater is especially bonded with fellow boy Chicky, making them a package deal for anyone looking to welcome a dynamic duo into their heart. The girls, Penni and Stormie, are equally loving but more independent, ready for homes with playful feline companions. You should know that adopting a FeLV+ cat comes with special challenges—lifespan can be shorter, and there are no health guarantees, but the love and joy these kitties offer are boundless and unforgettable. The rescue’s Forever Foster initiative even supports adopters with ongoing non-routine medical care through their tireless veterinary partner, ensuring every kitty’s well-being. Tater and his friends are waiting to become the heart of your home, where they can finally get all the cuddles, playtime, and attention they crave. Start your journey together! Apply now.
