About Chicky
Chicky, affectionately known as Chicken Nugget, is part of our quirky Fab Four feline crew that arrived together as kittens. Though the group isn't all related by blood, they've bonded tightly after spending their early days together in foster and then at the shelter. Chicky was rescued as an orphan bottle baby at just two weeks old and, like his buddy Tater and sister Stormie, tested positive for Feline Leukemia as a youngster. Despite this diagnosis, Chicky barrels through each day with the boundless energy and reckless joy only a tabby can muster. He and Tater are a bonded pair—we won't split them up—so they’ll need to find a home together. Chicky may have a shortened lifespan due to his FELV status, but he likely doesn’t know it. He tears around the playroom, makes mischief, and gets along well with both cats and children. He is not yet house trained, but given time and patience, he may catch on. We believe every cat deserves a real home and all of the coziness and stability that brings. If you are open to the joys and challenges of life with a FELV+ cat, Chicky is waiting for you in Grand Rapids, MI, ready for a fresh start. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
