Meet Henderson Aka Fred, a resilient Shepherd mix with nearly four years of life experience behind him—he escaped a high-kill shelter in Georgia thanks to a spirited determination that caught the eye of those at Big Dog Ranch Rescue. Henderson excels as the only pet in a household: he's extremely particular about other dogs and, while he’s previously managed to coexist with cats, that chapter seems closed for now. He walks beautifully on a leash and has a huge soft spot for water, enjoying every opportunity for a splash. His dream home features a generous, fenced yard for daily running and romping, and he’d do best with adopters who can keep his world free of frequent canine encounters. Henderson is a handsome, lively soul deserving of focused attention and someone who will invest in his sense of belonging and comfort. A complimentary training session is available through the rescue to ease the transition. Start your journey together! Apply now.
