She’s quiet, calm, and deeply loyal, the kind of companion who’s just as happy out on a mountain trail as she is curled up next to you at home. River absolutely loves the outdoors and would thrive with someone who enjoys hiking, exploring, or simply taking in nature’s quiet beauty. She’s been great with most other calm, respectful dogs here at the shelter and has even developed a sweet friendship with another long-timer, Truman. However, River would do best in a cat-free home and a home without small children. This sweet girl is affectionate, thoughtful, and ready to soak up all the love and attention a forever family has to offer.
