About Pepper
Pepper is a Rottweiler and Labrador Retriever mix, about a year and nine months old, currently in Oldtown, MD. She’s been through some tough times—her previous home was unstable, and she arrived at the rescue having suffered repeated attacks from her mother dog. Because of this, Pepper tends to be cautious and uncertain around new people and would do best in a quiet, patient home where she can learn to trust at her own pace. She hasn’t had much experience around children, so a child-free environment is likely the safest bet for her right now. Pepper is spayed, vaccinated, wormed, and microchipped. She’s house trained and has a short, bicolor coat that’s easy to maintain. Pepper gets along well with other dogs as long as the introductions are calm and the other dog is friendly. She especially enjoys playing with Ash, another dog at the rescue, and would thrive with a canine companion if possible. A securely fenced yard is a must to give her space to decompress and run playfully without fear. Pepper is bright, athletic, and affectionate once she feels safe, and she’s waiting for a home that will commit to earning her trust and showing her life can be good. Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
