About Monica
Click apply to start the adoption process. Monica is a fun-loving Coonhound mix who is estimated to be between 1 and 2 years old, weighing around 45 lbs—though there’s a chance she could reach over 50 lbs as she matures, but she’s not expected to go above 60 lbs. She has a beautiful short coat with rich red and chestnut tones. Monica is full of playful energy and loves to run and play, making her an ideal companion for an active family who can offer her plenty of walks, runs, and stimulation. This sweet and affectionate girl is highly motivated by food, which will make her training sessions a breeze. While she’s friendly with other dogs, she does show some food-related assertiveness, so a meet-and-greet with any potential dog siblings is suggested, and separate feeding times are best. Monica is still working on her manners—namely, learning not to jump up when excited—but she doesn’t require extensive training. She’s ready to bring a lot of joy and affection to a home willing to match her zest for life. Adoptions are by appointment only at our facility in Sherman, TX.
