Monica is a spunky young Coonhound mix; approximately 1 - 2 years old, and weighs 45 lbs. Since we don't know her exact age, she could grow to be over 50 lbs; but we don't believe she will be over 60 lbs. Monica is energetic, excitable, and playful. She is sweet and affectionate, but she does have a lot of energy, so stimulation is key for her to thrive in a home. This is typical with Hounds. She loves to run; an active family who takes her for long walks/runs would be great. She gets along well with other dogs, but has some assertion over food, so a meeting with any dog in the home is recommended prior to adoption, and separate feeding is a must. She is highly motivated by food, so this will make training easier. She does need some work on not jumping up to greet you, and some basic manner training, nothing extensive. The fee to adopt Monica is $200; this includes: spay, vaccines, de-worming, HW test and a microchip.
